UDIA Judges comments on Wivenhoe Village

The design of the building and the materials selected provide an elegant country home feel.

The well thought out design of the dwellings provides a home that instils pride in its residents and a place that friends and family will be eager to visit. Even the road system within the village was a highlight and well planned with looped, crescent-like roads to access small groups of homes to further enhance the sense of privacy. The judges were impressed by the partnership structure with the not-for-profit land owners in being able to provide them with a long-term income stream and contribution to increasing the capacity of their special needs school.
